FAQ

  • How do day rates work?

—Day rates are a fixed price for a certain amount of time. This helps you budget for that day instead of exactly how many hours you’ll be tattooed, also helping the artist not have to focus so much on time during the session.

    Half-day (3-4 hours) - $550

    Full-day (6-7 hours) - $1100

    2-day session - $2200

    3-day session - $3000

    4-day session - $4200

  • How many sessions will my project take?

—Sizing varies, but here are some general time estimates for smaller projects:

    Hand: Half-day session

    Inner/outer forearm panel: 1-2 full-day sessions

Upper inner arm panel: 1-2 full-day sessions

Upper outer arm panel: 1-3 full-day sessions

    Shin/calf panel: 1-2 full-day sessions

    Thigh panel: 1-3 full-day sessions

    L/R chest panel: 1-2 full-day sessions

—General time estimates for big projects:

    Full arm sleeve: 5-7 sessions

    Full leg sleeve: 7-10 sessions

    Full chest panel: 3-5 sessions

    Full back/torso: 6-10 sessions

  • What can I bring to my tattoo appointment?

—If you are sitting for a long session, you are more than welcome to bring drinks/snacks/tablet/books/headphones/chargers etc. for entertainment during your tattoo session.

  • Can I bring someone to sit with me during the tattoo session?

—You may bring 1 person with you, and recommend them to bring something to keep them entertained as well (book/tablet/headphones etc.)

  • Numbing cream?

—Suggested numbing cream: "Painless Tattoo Numbing Cream" on Amazon or their website. Follow product directions. Vasocaine spray is another great option, which you can order from painfulpleasures.com.

  • Can I work out after getting tattooed?

—Your skin is trying to heal a fresh wound, if that wound is stretched/expanded and tightened with pressure it may cause cracking or "reopen" the wound and prolong the healing process. Waiting to workout the tattooed body part for at least 3-5 days is suggested.

  • How long after I get tattooed can I go swimming?

—2 weeks, or until fully healed.

  • What about tattooing over scars?

—Scars that are light and flat to the touch are usually fine, however some larger raised scars may need a lot more time to flatten out depending on how recent the scar occurred.

  • Cover ups?

—Typically, laser lightening is recommended before we start on the cover up process, unless the tattoo you’re wanting to cover is very light and faded already.

  • Age restrictions?

—You must be 18+ years or older to get tattooed, regardless of parental consent.

—Children are not allowed in the shop.
